BRERETON AND RAVENHILL PARISH COUNCIL
Minutes of a meeting of the Planning Committee held at the Parish Hall, Ravenhill Park, Brereton,
on Tuesday, 2nd October 2018.
Present
Councillors TA Jones [Chairman], Mrs P Ansell, PA Fisher, GN Molineux and N Parton.
Mr PG Davies, the Parish Clerk, was also in attendance.
1. DECLARATIONS OF INTEREST
There were no declarations given at the commencement of the meeting.
2. MINUTES
RESOLVED
That the minutes of the meeting held on 4th September 2018, be approved and signed as a
correct record.
3. PLANNING DECISION
The Committee noted the following planning decision:-
Approval
CH/18/297
Single storey rear extension, first floor side extension and porch to front
3 Thompson Road
Members were disappointed to note that the Parish Council’s request for an hours of work
condition had not been included in the decision notice. Councillor PA Fisher kindly
undertook to raise this matter with the Planning Committee and request that such a condition
be made standard in respect of all planning applications for development in residential
areas.
4. PLANNING APPLICATIONS
The Committee noted that in accordance with the decision of the Committee at the last
meeting, the Chairman had formulated the following comments on the planning application
listed below and these comments had been forwarded to the District Council:-
CH/18/297
Single storey rear extension, first floor side extension and porch to front
3 Thompson Road
No objection subject to a condition to restrict working at night, Saturday afternoons and all
day Sundays and Bank and Public holidays.
The Committee also considered the following planning application:-
CH/18/336
Demolish existing single storey kitchen, construct two storey side extension and single
storey extension to the front and rear
53 Birch Lane

RESOLVED
1. That the action taken in respect of CH/18/297 be approved and confirmed.
2. That as the applicant in respect of CH/18/336 is well known to Members of the Parish
Council, this Committee would not wish to comment on the merits of the planning
application but would simply request, in the interests of consistency, the inclusion of a
condition to restrict work at night, Saturday afternoons, all day Sundays and Bank
and Public holidays.
