BRERETON AND RAVENHILL PARISH COUNCIL
Minutes of a meeting of the Finance and Management Committee held at the Parish Hall, Ravenhill
Park, Brereton, on Wednesday, 18th July 2018.
Present
Councillors Miss IJ Brown [Chairman], K Ansell, Mrs DM Easton and R Easton.
Apologies for absence were received from Councillors Mrs P Ansell, H Farnath, Miss C Harvey and
Mrs G Harvey.
Mr PG Davies, the Parish Clerk, was also in attendance.
1. DECLARATIONS OF INTEREST
There were no declarations given at the commencement of the meeting.
2. MINUTES
RESOLVED
That the minutes of the meeting held on 6th June 2018, be approved and signed as a
correct record.
3. ACCOUNTS FOR PAYMENT
The Clerk circulated a schedule of accounts for payment.
RESOLVED
That authority be given for the payments included on the submitted schedule.
4. FINANCE REPORT
The Report of the Clerk, showing the income and expenditure of the Parish Council as at
31st May 2018, was submitted for information and noted.
5. PARISH HALL – TELEPHONE LINES
The Clerk reported that Pop Telecom had indicated that it would not be possible to change
the number of the pay telephone line including broadband [currently 01889-739549] to
01889-577461.
RESOLVED
That this matter be reviewed at the meeting of the Committee in January 2019, prior to the
expiration of the contract with Pop Telecom in March 2019.
6. HEDGE CUTTER
The Clerk reported that the Parish Hall Management Committee had recommended that
£1,500.00 be allocated in the Parish Council’s budget for the purchase of a hedge cutter..
RESOLVED
That the recommendation be agreed and the sum of £1,500.00 be included under the
‘Projects’ heading of the budget.

That the next meeting be held on 5th September 2018, at 8.00 p.m.
