BRERETON AND RAVENHILL PARISH COUNCIL
Minutes of a meeting of the Finance and Management Committee held at the Parish Hall, Ravenhill
Park, Brereton, on Wednesday, 6th June 2018.
Present
Councillors Mrs DM Easton [Vice-Chairman in the Chair], K Ansell and R Easton.
Apologies for absence were received from Councillors Mrs P Ansell, Miss IJ Brown [Chairman],
H Farnath, Miss C Harvey, Mrs G Harvey and Mrs HJ Southwell.
Mr PG Davies, the Parish Clerk, was also in attendance.
1. DECLARATIONS OF INTEREST
There were no declarations given at the commencement of the meeting.
2. MINUTES
RESOLVED
That the minutes of the meeting held on 2nd May 2018, be approved and signed as a
correct record.
3. ACCOUNTS FOR PAYMENT
The Clerk circulated a schedule of accounts for payment.
RESOLVED
1) That authority be given for the payments included on the submitted schedule.
2) That the Clerk further investigate merging the two telephone lines in the Parish Hall,
whilst at the same time, maintaining the superfast broadband connection.
4. FINANCE REPORT
The Report of the Clerk, showing the income and expenditure of the Parish Council as at
30th April 2018, was submitted for information and noted.
5. INSURANCE PORTFOLIO
The committee reviewed the Parish Council’s annual Insurance Portfolio, a copy of which
had been circulated.
RESOLVED
That the Insurance Portfolio of the Parish Council be approved.
6. NATIONAL PAY AWARD
The Clerk reported details of the National Pay Award for 2018/2019 and its effect on the
Parish Council’s employees.
RESOLVED
That the National Pay Award be implemented in full, with effect from 1st April 2018.

RESOLVED
That the next meeting be held on 18th July 2018, at 8.00 p.m.
