There is no way of predicting when the committee will be presented with a planning application, which needs their consideration. As such there is a need for flexibility in the manner of their discussions. If email comments are requested the Chair will set a deadline date after which it will be assumed all comments have been received. Meetings will be held as and when required, but at least 5 clear days prior to the closing date. Usually, these will be arranged immediately prior to all other meetings on the third Thursday of the month, prior to the Full Council. All meetings will be published on the council’s website and Facebook page.

The application which was submitted contained very limited information other than the address. A member of the committee has already completed a site visit and gathered that the plan is for a single storey extension which may include dormer windows. Based on that information, the committee cannot see any reason why permission should not be given.
15. MATTERS STILL PENDING/UNDER CONSIDERATION
CH/23/0132 Talbot Inn site
Committee members are aware that the local school have sent an email to parents pointing out that this development might have a ‘drop off and pick up’ concern. The actual email was written by concerned residents to the school. The school decided to forward the email to all of the parents whose children attend the school. It was mentioned that previously this site had ‘in

and out’ access whereas the application plan proposed, does not. The committee are concerned that parents may choose to park in places which are felt to be potentially more dangerous because of the need to cross a dual-carriage way. Housing adults with possible mental health issues in close proximity to the school without transparent security measures is a great cause of concern. The committee are very alarmed that the amended application has not been published and the residents are unaware of the amendments.
The committee has resolved to send their written response in support of the previous council’s objections. When the amendments have been circulated and are public, the committee will reassess their position and make further comments.
