BRERETON AND RAVENHILL PARISH COUNCIL
Minutes of a meeting of the Finance and Management Committee held at the Parish Hall, Ravenhill
Park, Brereton, on Wednesday, 3rd October 2018.
Present
Councillors Mrs DM Easton [in the Chair], K Ansell and R Easton.
Apologies for absence were received from Councillors Mrs P Ansell, Miss IJ Brown [Chairman],
Mrs G Harvey and Miss C Harvey.
Mr PG Davies, the Parish Clerk, was also in attendance.
1. APPOINTMENT OF CHAIRMAN
In the absence of both the Chairman and Vice-Chairman, Councillor Mrs DM Easton was
appointed Chairman for this meeting.
2. DECLARATIONS OF INTEREST
There were no declarations given at the commencement of the meeting.
3. MINUTES
RESOLVED
That the minutes of the meeting held on 5th September 2018, be approved and signed as a
correct record.
4. ACCOUNTS FOR PAYMENT
The Clerk circulated a schedule of accounts for payment.
RESOLVED
That authority be given for the payments included on the submitted schedule.
5. FINANCE REPORT
The Report of the Clerk, showing the income and expenditure of the Parish Council as at
31st August 2018, was submitted for information and noted.
6. EMPLOYER PENSION DISCRETIONS
The Committee considered a Policy Statement for Employees based on a template
received from the Staffordshire Pension Service [copy previously circulated].
RESOLVED
That the Employer Pension Discretions Policy Statement for Employees, as submitted, be
approved and confirmed.
7. LOCAL GOVERNMENT PENSION SCHEME – PENSION FUND ANNUAL GENERAL
MEETING
The Committee noted that the Staffordshire Pension Fund Annual General Meeting would
be held on 23rd October 2018, at 2.00 pm at County Buildings, Stafford.

RESOLVED
That the next meeting be held on 7th November 2018, at 8.00 p.m.
