BRERETON AND RAVENHILL PARISH COUNCIL
Minutes of an informal meeting of the Planning Committee held at the Parish Hall, Ravenhill Park, Brereton, on Tuesday, 4th February 2020.
Present
Councillors TA Jones [Chairman].
Also present
Alderman R Easton and Mrs DM Easton.
Apologies for absence were received from Councillors PA Fisher, Mrs W Fisher, JC Harvey,
DR Johnson and GN Molineux.
Mr PG Davies, the Parish Clerk, was also in attendance.

RESOLVED
That the minutes of the informal meeting held on 7th January 2020, be approved and signed as a correct record.
PLANNING DECISION
The Committee noted the following planning decision:-

PLANNING APPLICATION
RESOLVED
That the following comments be submitted to the District Council on the planning application listed below:-
CH/20/029
Erection of a stable building and construction of horse exercise arena
Land off Colliery Road.
Object – the proposed development is grossly excessive in an area of the Green Belt and within the Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty [AONB]. The amount of land shown for development [Plan 0084696] is ambiguous as it could represent most of the site. The inference given from the documentation and plan 0084701 is that the hardstanding could support a caravan or mobile home.
The development is an attempt to create residential accommodation contrary to Green Belt policy and harmful to the AONB. It would become an intensively developed area.
The Parish Council’s conclusion is reinforced by the nature of the fencing erected on site which is harmful to the AONB.
