BRERETON AND RAVENHILL PARISH COUNCIL
Minutes of a meeting of the Planning Committee held at the Parish Hall, Ravenhill Park, Brereton,
on Tuesday, 17th July 2018.
Present
Councillors TA Jones [Chairman], Mrs P Ansell, GN Molineux and N Parton.
An apology for absence was received from Councillor PA Fisher.
Mr PG Davies, the Parish Clerk, was also in attendance.
1. DECLARATIONS OF INTEREST
There were no declarations given at the commencement of the meeting.
2. MINUTES
RESOLVED
That the minutes of the meeting held on 5th June 2018, be approved and signed as a correct
record.
3. PLANNING DECISIONS
The Committee noted the following planning decisions:-

Variation of Condition 1 of planning permission CH/07/0092 to change hours of opening to
8.00 – 18.30 Monday to Saturday and 9.00 – 17.00 Sundays.

4. PLANNING APPLICATIONS
There were no planning applications for consideration at this meeting.
5. THE FORMER TALBOT PUBLIC HOUSE
The District Council had acknowledged receipt of the Parish Council’s letter in respect of the
above. The Principal Property Services Officer had indicated that she would write with a
substantive response as soon as she was in a position to do so.
6. LICHFIELD DISTRICT COUNCIL – LOCAL PLAN ALLOCATIONS DPD
The Committee noted that Lichfield District Council had submitted the above document to
the Planning Inspectorate for examination.
7. ARMITAGE WITH HANDSACRE NEIGHBOURHOOD PLAN – DECISION STATEMENT
Lichfield District Council had determined on 12th June 2018, that the Armitage with
Handsacre Neighbourhood Plan, subject to the modifications set out within the decision
statement, could proceed to referendum.

8. CANNOCK CHASE LOCAL PLAN
The Committee noted that Cannock Chase District Council was consulting on the following
documents up to and including 28th August 2018:-
Cannock Chase Local Plan – Issues and Scope Document;
Sustainability Appraisal Scoping Report; and
Statement of Community Involvement.
The Clerk undertook to enquire as to whether the Parish Council’s formal response would be
accepted if submitted immediately after the Parish Council meeting on 4th September 2018.
